A protest was held at Gadigi (Royal) Chowk in Ballari by the SUCI (Communist) to condemn the state government’s decision to increase the price of milk by Rs 8 per litre. A. Devadas, a member of the party’s district committee, addressed the demonstrators, stating that people are already facing difficulties due to rising prices and demanding that the government immediately withdraw the decision. He urged authorities to find alternative solutions to address the problems faced by dairy farmers.

He called for the government to provide fodder and animal feed at concessional rates and to curb extravagance within the Karnataka Milk Federation. Dr. Pramod also appealed to the public across the state to raise their voices against the milk price increase. M.N. Manjula, R. Somashekhar Gowda, D. Nagalakshmi, Govind, Eshwari, Suresh, and J.P.
